Introduction

Why a blog?  I really don’t know, to be honest.  If I had to break it down, though, I would say, transparency.  Verbena Boutique is my passion and I don’t want to lie or cover up anything.  When I make a mistake on a batch of candles, you’ll know.  When I am unhappy with a vendor that supplies my essential oils….boy oh boy, will you know.

After creating the foundation of Verbena Boutique, I realized that I need to have an outlet to be able to share my good moments, bad moments, and everything in between.  I also really wanted a place to be able to talk about scary things like phthalates and BPAs without severely annoying those around me.

Speaking of those scary, science-y things, nothing on this blog will be opinion.  When those topics are discussed, I will try to be as realistic as possible and provide scientific facts to back up my statements.  My goal isn’t to intimidate, but rather educate.  I simply want to share the things that I have learned and have come to realize.

Now let’s touch on the subject of essential oils and non toxic ingredients.  These also fit under the ‘not opinion’ category.  Aromatherapy has been called many things.  Most recently I’ve heard it called: a placebo effect, hokey, and hippy shit.  All valid opinions.  Like I said, this isn’t about trying to prove something.  These are the things that have changed my life and made my life better.  I’m just hoping they can do the same for yours.

Anyway, that’s that.  If you have any topics you’d like me to cover email me at verbenaboutiquepnw@gmail.com, contact me here, or comment below.  I will try to respond to as many emails and comments as I can.

Thanks for reading and welcome to Verbena Boutique!
